National K-12 Chess Championship. Poly team won the K-12 Unrated Division of the Championship. Ingenuity senior William Griffin finished sixth in the nation with 6-0-1 record (with the same number of points as third place).
• National Merit Scholarship Program: Wuqiong Fan and Saul Wilson are Finalists and Award Winners.

Maryland Math League: Ingenuity team won the first place in the competition with 160 points. Rebekah Wheatley received the second highest cumulative score just one point behind the winner, April 2010.

University of Maryland Mathematics Competition: Andrew Clemens is a Baltimore City winner (his rank is 45, total participants 2470), December 2009.

University of Maryland Mathematics Competition. This year seven (a record number!) Ingenuity students qualified for Part II of the competition, November 2009.
• Wuqiong Fan, an Ingenuity at Poly senior, is the Siemens Competition semifinalist, October 2009.

National History Day (Statewide Competition). 1st Place, Individual Exhibit; 2nd Place, Individual Documentary; 2nd Place, Group Documentary. Four Ingenuity students represened the state of Maryland at the National competition June 14-18, 2009 in College Park, April 2009.
• Annabel Boeke and Hannah Bands have been named Maryland Distinguished Scholars by the Maryland Higher Education Commission.
• Ingenuity senior Teno Boone is a 2009 Gates Millenium Scholar.
Young Epidemiology Scholars (YES) Competition. Ingenuity senior Hannah Bands has been selected as a national finalist in the 6th annual YES Competition, one of the nation's most prestigious and influential high school science competitions.
• Ingenuity freshman Gerardo Camarena is a Carson Scholar.
Maryland Junior Science and Humanities Symposium (JSHS). Oral Presentations: 2nd 3rd and 4th Place. Kayleigh Horst represented the state of Maryland at the 47th National JSHS, held at the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Joe Schwartz and Ebony Ashby-Bey were also invited to attend the national event as non-competing student delegates.
Poster Competition: 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place. As the winner of the poster competition, Chasidy Lowe was also invited to attend the national event as non-competing student delegate.
2009 Baltimore Science Fair. Sponsor Awards: Honorable mention in Division I Physical Science, Honorable mention in Division I Biological Science. Special Awards: first place award from the National Space Society; and a certificate of achievement from the United States Air Force, US Army Award and a certificate; Division I Physical Sciences Allen Davis Memorial Award; and a certificate of achievement from the National Security Agency Mathematics Education Partnership Program. United States Public Health Service Surgeon General's Award. United States Public Health Service Surgeon General's Award. First place Division I Biological Sciences Allen Davis Memorial Award and a certificate of achievement from the United States Army. United States Public Health Service Surgeon General's Award. Outstanding project certificate from the American Psychological Association.

An Ingenuity team of fifteen freshmen, sophomores and juniors participated in 24 events and earned 49 medals at the Maryland Science Olympiad. The Ingenuity Team took first place in the high school AA division.
• Ingenuity sophomores Terrell Buckson, Emily Frias and Brandon Johnson received a 2009 Toshiba/*NSTA ExploraVision Honorable Mention Award, March 2009.
• Dana Katzenelson, Ingenuity at Poly sophomore, is the winner of AMC 12. She qualified to take the American Invitational Mathematics Exam, February 2009.
• Bridges built by Ingenuity teams at the Maryland Wood Bridge Challenge finished in 2nd , 3rd and 4th place. Dan Borgnia won the 1st place in the Lightest Bridge category. Wuqiong Fan and Dan Borgnia will represent the state of Maryland at the International Wood Bride Challenge, to be held in Bellingham, Washington on April 25, 2009

• Freshman Lawrence Wang scored a perfect 800 on math SAT. Also a perfect 800 score received: junior Annabel Boeke in reading and writing, junior Hannah Bands in reading and senior Shauna Linn in writing, May 2008.
• Channel 2 teen reporter Lauren Robinson interviewed Ingenuity at Poly students. The interview was broadcast on May 31, 2008.
• Senior  Shauna  Linn  won two awards at Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) in Atlanta, Georgia. She won the First Place Award from the Psychology Honor Society and ISEF's Second Place Award in the category of Behavioral Sciences.
• Michail Denchev won the 1st Place in the Senior Web Sites category at the National History Day. Anne Juan won the 2nd place in the Senior Individual Documentaries Category. Jeanie Lai and Michael Lampart received the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr, Award, April 2008.
• Ingenuity team won a third place in the 2007-08 Maryland Math League contest, and Joel Wheatley received the highest cumulative score at Poly.
• Junior Jasmen Rice won a Gold Medal in Medicine and Health at Afro-Academic, Cultural, Technological and Scientific Olympics (ACT-SO). Senior Dominique Duval and junior Ariel Bowers won silver medals in Medicine and Health and in Earth and Space Sciences respectively. Junior Ebony Ashby-Bey won Bronze in Engineering, April 2008.
• Senior David Lai won the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) Award.
• Ingenuity students are the winners at the 2008 Maryland Junior Science and Humanities Symposium (JSHS). Oral Research Presentations: 2nd place - David Lai; Poster Presentations: 1st place - Tyrone Howard, 2nd place - Christian Wisner-Carlson, 3rd place - Reema Sharma.

• Two Ingenuity at Poly juniors scored a perfect 800 on Math SAT 2; a senior scored a perfect 800 on SAT 2 US History Exam.
• Ingenuity team won a second place in the 2006-07 Maryland Math League contest, and Joel Wheatley with 31 cumulative points (out of 36) is #8 on the list of high scoring students, April 2007.

• Three Ingenuity sophomores have been selected by the judges to receive a 2007 Toshiba/NSTA ExploraVision Honorable Mention Award, March 2007.
• Ingenuity at Poly senior, Danielle Weissman, is a USA Bio Olympiad semifinalist. She is among the top 500 participants nationwide eligible to take the Semifinal Exam.
• Emma Call is the Intel Science Talent Search 2007 winner, she places 10th in the nation.
• Three Ingenuity at Poly students, the winners of AMC 12, qualified to take the American Invitational Mathematics Exam.
• Ingenuity junior Michael Mountain is a winner of the University of Maryland Math Competition in the City of Baltimore.
• 8 Ingenuity at Poly students solved all the problems with a perfect score in a Maryland Math League.
• 10 Ingenuity students were inducted to the William R. King Chapter of the National Honor Society, December 2006.

• Ingenuity senior Renae Mitchell placed first in the Senior Papers category at the Local National History Day Competition. Seniors Sam Hudnet and Justin Tibbels placed second in the Senior Group Documentaries at the State History Day Competition. Senior Jerusa Contee placed third in the same category and won the award for Best Ethics Issue with her project.

• Ingenuity alumnus Ryan Harrison, 2005 Intel 5th place winner, is inducted into the National Gallery for America's Young Inventors in Akron, Ohio.
• Ingenuity students won both of the Grand Prizes at the 2006 Baltimore Science Fair: Grand Prize in Biological Sciences: Nahathai (Ploy) Srivali, and Grand Prize in Physical Sciences: Emma Call. Our Grand Prize winners went go to the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair in Indianapolis. Myers (Abe) Davis won First Place in Physical Sciences.

• Graduating senior, Jennifer Weston, scored 800 in both Mathematics and Verbal SAT. Jennifer was the first Ingenuity student to score a perfect 1600 on the SAT, May 2004.
• Antonio Didonato scored 800, a perfect score, on the Math SAT.
• Sophomore scored 800 on the Physics SAT Subject Test.
• Freshman scored 800 on the Biology SAT Subject Test.
• Junior scored 800 on the Math SAT and another scored 800 on the Verbal SAT, Winter 2004
• Ingenuity at Poly has had four graduating classes in 2004, and at least one student from each class has scored 800 on the Math SAT. Three students from the Class of 2003 scored 800.
• Graduate (Class of 2001) completed college in three years and is now a Fulbright Scholar.
