Additional Academic Achievements

Freshman Lawrence Wang scored a perfect 800 on math SAT. Also a perfect 800 score received: junior Annabel Boeke in reading and writing, junior Hannah Bands in reading and senior Shauna Linn in writing, May 2008.
Channel 2 teen reporter Lauren Robinson interviewed Ingenuity at Poly students Eboni Lightner, Dominique Duval, David Lai and Shauna Linn. The interview was broadcast on May 31.
Senior Shauna Linn won two awards at
Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) in Atlanta, Georgia. She won the First Place Award from Psy Chi (the Psychology Honor Society) and ISEF's Second Place Award in the category of Behavioral Sciences.
Michail Denchev won the 1st Place in the Senior Web Sites category
at the
National History Day. Anne Juan won the 2nd place in the Senior Individual Documentaries Category. Jeanie Lai and Michael Lampart received the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr, Award, April 2008.
Ingenuity team won a third place in the 2007-08
Maryland Math League contest, and Joel Wheatley received the highest cumulative score at Poly.
Junior Jasmen Rice won a Gold Medal in Medicine and Health at
Afro-Academic, Cultural, Technological and Scientific Olympics (ACT-SO). Senior Dominique Duval and junior Ariel Bowers won silver medals in Medicine and Health and in Earth and Space Sciences respectively. Junior Ebony Ashby-Bey won Bronze in Engineering, April 2008.
Senior David Lai won the
National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) Award.

Ingenuity alumnus Ryan Harrison, 2005 Intel 5th place winner, is inducted into the
National Gallery for America's Young Inventors in Akron, Ohio. Each year 6 students nationwide are inducted, and Ryan is one of the six.
Ingenuity students performed incredibly well at the 2006
Baltimore Science Fair winning both of the Grand Prizes: Grand Prize in Biological Sciences: Nahathai (Ploy) Srivali, and Grand Prize in Physical Sciences: Emma Call.
Our Grand Prize winners went go to the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair in Indianapolis. Myers (Abe) Davis won First Place in Physical Sciences.

Graduating senior, Jennifer Weston , scored 800 in both Mathematics and Verbal SAT. Jennifer was the first Ingenuity student to score a perfect 1600 on the SAT, May 2004.
Antonio Didonato scored 800, a perfect score, on the Math SAT.
Sophomore scored 800 on the Physics SAT Subject Test.
Freshman scored 800 on the Biology SAT Subject Test.
Junior scored 800 on the Math SAT and another scored 800 on the Verbal SAT, Winter 2004
Ingenuity at Poly has had four graduating classes in 2004, and at least one student from each class has scored 800 on the Math SAT. Three students from the Class of 2003 scored 800.
Graduate (Class of 2001) completed college in three years and is now a Fulbright Scholar.
In order to receive college credit for an Advanced Placement (AP) course, students must score a grade of 3 or better on the AP exam at the completion of the course. However, it is still at the discretion of the college/university to determine how much credit a student will receive.
