Anissa is an entrepreneur and retired Military Officer who continues to volunteer with numerous organizations that focus on providing networking and mentorship opportunities to professionals and our youth. She particpated as moderator for the Ingenuity Innovators’ Tea, representing Women In Defense, Mid-Atlantic Chapter, a 501(c)(3) organization focused on encouraging and/or supporting women to pursue STEM related careers in support of our National Security.
Anissa received a B.S. in Chemistry from Elizabeth City State University, an M.A. in Administration (Health Services) from Central Michigan University, and has recently earned the coveted Project
Management Professional (PMP) Certification. After college, she went on to have a distinguished 22- year career in the US Army specializing in Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) Defense and served in various positions throughout the United States and abroad and also deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Anissa transitioned from active duty in December 2013 but continues to provide support to the Department of Defense. Anissa recently started her own business, MAC Innovative Solutions, LLC., focused on providing quality professionals, relevant services and innovative solutions to meet her prospective client’s current and future Management and Consulting needs.
