Chris Jin is pursuing a Master of Science in Bioinformatics at New York University, having completed his Bachelor of Science at the University of Maryland, College Park. At NYU, Chris is developing software to visualize numerical statistics in biological research, enhancing data interpretation and presentation.
During his undergraduate studies, Chris worked with Dr. Lin as a research publication intern, specializing in research statistics and biological data visualization. His work contributed significantly to the field and provided valuable insights for ongoing projects.
Chris also has a distinguished military background, having served in the United States Army for four years, primarily with United States Special Operations Pacific. He completed multiple deployments in Afghanistan and Iraq before being honorably discharged in 2019.
In his free time, Chris volunteers as a Korean interpreter for local churches and communities around Maryland, offering his language skills to support and connect diverse groups.
