Alka has been an Ingenuity math teacher at Mount Royal Elementary/Middle for the last 11 years. Her goal is always to make a difference when she teaches math through motivating students and making challenging classes fun and easy to learn. Prior to joining Ingenuity, she taught middle school mathematics and science for four years at a private school. Alka has experience in creating and writing math curriculum for 6 – 8th grade using McDougal Little, Algebra 1, and Geometry 1 for middle school students.
Her passion for making a difference through middle school math led her to Ingenuity. She is also an adjunct faculty member at a local community college where she teaches developmental math and college-level math classes. Alka is proud to serve as a role model and an adviser to all Mt. Royal students.
