Isazetta Spikes has over 20 years of experience in fundraising and community organizing. She maintains her certification as a fundraising executive (CFRE). Isazetta spent 10 years (5 years local and 5 years national) as the Membership and Special Events Coordinator for the Baltimore Branch NAACP and Membership Director of the National NAACP where she first learned to partner with members and NAACP leaders to pursue racial and social justice while raising funds from the community. Isazetta also worked at Associated Catholic Charities for 11 years, first as a grant writer for the Community Services Division and then in the Director of Grants position which served the entire Agency. In both roles, she gained valuable experience and learned to effectively pursue funding to meet the urgent food and housing needs of underserved Marylanders while working collaboratively to solicit and steward more than $25 million in private and government grants during her tenure. Recently she served as the Director of Development for Moveable Feast where she collaborated with leaders to generate and grant revenue, and helped implement its most successful Giving Tuesday campaign. She has also worked for the Prince George’s County Chapter of the American Red Cross, the Community Law Center, the State of Maryland’s Office of the Public Defender, and Strong City Baltimore. She also provided fundraising consultation for Maryland Nonprofits.
Isazetta is a committed volunteer. She serves as a member of the Johns Hopkins University’s Committee on Racial Health Solutions as well as on the MD Citizen’s Health Initiative, and the Community Advisory Board for the Hoffberger Foundation. She is a proud member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority and has held the internationally recognized Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) accreditation since 2001.
