On Saturday, November 13, 2021, The Ingenuity Project and the Baltimore Chapter of Jack & Jill of America co-hosted a panel event for Ingenuity students and families. The event opened with a special keynote from Jailyn Clarke, a current Data Science graduate student at Harvard and Mathematics graduate from Spelman College). The panel featured the following STEM leaders: Shauntell L. Campbell, Ph.D. (Digital Transformation Branch Chief at the Social Security Administration), Kevin Meadow (IT Program Manager), Nicole M. Brown (IT Specialist Supervisor at the Social Security Administration), Neil Alvanzo (Software Management Consultant). Teen volunteers from the Baltimore Chapter of Jack & Jill moderated the event and talked with middle school students in breakout sessions about high school and beyond. We are grateful for the opportunity to use the beautiful new space at the University of Maryland Community Engagement Center and livestream the event with video expert Aaron Rice at Uber Luxe Media.
